That is so true. Not only do I know its true, but I have lived it a few times over the last year and a half. Four times now I have been thousands of miles away from my girlfriend, fiancee, and then my wife twice. This time its only for five weeks and a couple days. It may not seem like a lot, but try it yourself once, and see how it goes. There are a lot of things you miss when you are that far apart. Just the smell of her hair, the gentle kiss goodnight, waking up next to her every morning. Several things, that just aren't there. You have to be able to be strong, but it takes true love to be able to be that far apart and not worry about anything because you know you are meant for each other. Every day goes by and I miss her no less than the day before, but I grow stronger in knowing that it is one day less that we are separated. It makes it easier being able to see her on web cam, but its not the same. You just have to rely on lots of things to get to the other side when you are back together. I am so glad she was over there for her moms sake. She gets to spend a lot of time with her close friends and that is very important. It makes our love stronger as there are not many things harder than being separated from your wife for that long. I just know that I will never take her for granted because that is the worst mistake you can make. Love and marriage are never easy, but one thing I have learned and it always applies; if it isn't easy, then it isn't worth it. Working at having a great marriage and a long and happy life together is something that is built on trust and love. If you don't have either, then good luck because you will need it. I know we have both, as I trust her dearly and love her more. I don't even need to question if she has those for me. I just know it :)
Well, here is to counting down the days - only 18 more days and she is back here with me and the cats :D .... I can't wait!
