Winter Time

Thats what time it is now, its starting to get colder, the nights are getting shorter as it gets dark around 6 or so. This is a fun time of the year, as there are lots of holidays and time with family and close friends. That's what is really important, those memories that are there for a lifetime. I can't wait to spend our second Christmas season together and make several new memories together. The holiday season is all about cuddling up under a blanket with someone special enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate or apple cider or whatever you like ;)
We spent the last two days making some new friends, which was good to do. She met another German online and they talked for several hours and we went there Saturday and spent the whole afternoon and night there eating and playing with their kids (which were very cute and nice), and actually enjoying meeting someone new. It is important to always make some new friends, and in this case a German friend for Sarah! I know its hard on her not having that many people here that she can count as real friends. At least not any that speak German ;) But we went back yesterday for the afternoon and had lunch and talked for a few hours and enjoyed being in the country. I think it made her realize a little as to what she wants (a house), which is what I want, but making it happen is the real challenge. There are always lots of options, and esp in the market now you can get a great deal. I just want the normal dream of home owning to be real someday, sooner than later. It just gives you a higher sense of purpose and feeling of self worth. It is a lot more work maintaining a house over an apartment, however, that is something you learn to do over time. I just hope that I can make that dream of hers become a reality. Well, who knows, the next Christmas may be our first in a new home!
